MESA, Ariz. (June 5, 2008) – The Perioperative Services department at Banner Baywood Medical Center will be recognized at an event on Saturday for their work in sponsoring a City of Mesa park.

The 140-person department is the first participant in the new City of Mesa park-sponsorship program, which invites businesses or individuals to adopt a city park with funds and hold one annual cleanup day. In return, the sponsors enjoy free use of the park.
The Perioperative Services Department at Banner Baywood Medical Center is responsible for all things surgical, from admitting and pre-op to surgery and recovery. The Banner Baywood Periop Unit Based Council will attend the event Saturday to take a photo and be recognized for its sponsorship of the park. Unit based councils are groups who represent the various hospital departments.
