Get the facts on the new Banner Scottsdale medical campus

Banner has been a health care leader in Scottsdale since 1980. Today, we have 24 locations in and around the city of Scottsdale available to serve our more than 50,000 local members who rely on Banner Health for everything from wellness exams to complex medical treatments.

As part of our commitment to deliver more health care options near you, Banner has proposed a world-class medical campus located in north Scottsdale near Loop 101 and Hayden Road. Developed in collaboration with the city, the new campus – 100% privately funded – will feature a timeless design and unmatched quality. Banner’s project will create 2,500 jobs and directly invest more than $750 million into the Scottsdale economy, with construction alone creating $500 million in economic impact. The campus will generate nearly $400 million annually in economic benefit for the community.

Phase one of the Scottsdale medical campus

Phase one of the medical campus is Banner Health Center plus, unanimously approved by the City of Scottsdale Development Review Board in September 2024. The one-stop-shop for outpatient needs is set to break ground in spring 2025. Construction of Banner Health Center plus is expected to be complete by early 2027, and will include:

Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center

Currently, many Scottsdale-area Banner patients must travel across the Valley to get highly specialized cancer care. This new center will make life easier for those facing serious health challenges, and it will deliver new cancer treatments and research to Scottsdale. Our clinical partner, MD Anderson Cancer Center, has consistently ranked among the top two hospitals in cancer care since U.S. News & World Report began its annual “America's Best Hospitals” rankings in 1990. We are proud to partner with a national leader in cancer care to deliver an unmatched level of care in Scottsdale.
