Rob Carnahan has been chief executive officer at Banner Churchill Community Hospital since 2017.
Carnahan graduated from Indiana University’s School of Nursing. Rob obtained his master’s in nursing leadership in 2008. His passion for health care was inspired by his mother who is also a nurse. That inspiration was solidified when Carnahan joined the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne division as a medical specialist. He had a tour in Iraq during the Gulf War caring for both military and Iraqi rebels.
Carnahan has worked in nursing roles in progressive care as well as leadership in Phoenix for John C. Lincoln Health Network. He joined Banner Churchill as the CNO before he became CEO.
His professional accomplishments include being elected treasurer of the Nevada Organization of Nurse Leaders in 2016 and president-elect in 2017.
In Carnahan’s free time he likes to spend time with his wife Kristin and son Chase. He has a passion for coaching Chase’s baseball team, mountain biking/cycling, trail running, drumming, fitness, and traveling.
