The PGY1 pharmacy residency at Banner Boswell Medical Center (BBWMC) in Sun City builds upon the Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. The purpose of the BBWMC PGY1 pharmacy residency is to further develop the knowledge and skills needed as an inpatient clinical pharmacist.
The program develops inpatient clinical pharmacists who are responsible for pharmaceutical care of patients with a wide range of medical conditions. The program also prepares for post graduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training and augments eligibility for board certification.
