Banner Desert Medical Center (BDMC) and Banner Children's at Desert (BCD) is the largest, most comprehensive hospital in the East Valley of metro Phoenix with almost 700 beds on an 80-acre medical campus. With over 1,500 physicians, representing 65 specialties, we treat over 40,000 inpatients, 65,000 outpatients, and over 100,000 emergency room visits annually. Medical services include hospital-based physicians, general and specialty surgeons, comprehensive cardiac care, 24/7 intensivist program, level 4 NICU, strike center, level 1 trauma, state of the art adult and pediatric cancer care as well as mind/body/spirit therapies to enhance healing.
The pharmacy department provides 24-hour services, supported by over 90 full-time pharmacy personnel. An automated dispensing system is utilized throughout the hospital. Decentralized pharmacy staff are in the ED, PICU, NICU, MICU, TNICU, Oncology, Cardiac, Med/Surg and Outpatient Treatment Center.
