The PGY1 pharmacy residency at Banner Estrella Medical Center (BEMC) offers comprehensive training with emphasis on clinical pharmaceutical care. This program builds on Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for education-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, and eligibility for board certification and postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training. Pharmacy residents advance their knowledge and skills to become competent clinical practitioners through both block and longitudinal experiences.
