Banner NERD Wellness Center is a hospital-based wellness facility open to community members and employees who are ready to transform their lives through wellness.
Located on the second floor of the McMurry West Tower, the Wellness Center is home to a wide range of services aimed at keeping you healthy. There is an activity for everyone, whether you’re looking to lose weight, lower your cholesterol, reduce stress, stop using tobacco or get fit.
Our programs are designed to help you meet your health goals through consultations with clinical staff. You will learn how to integrate physical health with social, personal and motivational factors to improve overall well-being. Participation and education are strong components of our services. No matter your health and wellness goals, or your current health, the NERD Health and Wellness Center can help you live a healthier life.
Lifestyle Modification Program
Lifestyle Medicine is the use of a whole food, plant-predominant dietary lifestyle, regular physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, avoidance of risky substances and positive social connection as a primary therapeutic modality for treatment and reversal of chronic disease.
Our lifestyle modification program includes a comprehensive wellness intake with our American College of Lifestyle Medicine trained physician. Bi-monthly group medical appointments will focus on the 6 pillars of wellness: nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress, substance abuse, and interpersonal relationships. Cohorts will be tailored around specific concerns including post weight-loss surgery, post cardiac intervention, and obesity.
The group shared medical appointment occurs in 12 sessions over six months, with additional one-on-one health and wellness coaching support between classes. Sessions are available in-person and via HIPAA-compliant Zoom video conferencing.
We ask that you pay your portion of the bill at the time of your visit. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and personal checks. Any remaining balance is due within 30 days.
