The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Banner Children’s at Thunderbird is one of the largest and most comprehensive NICUs in the greater Phoenix area and one of the largest in Arizona.
The NICU provides specialized care for sick or premature infants. We have a Level III NICU to provide individualized care for premature infants and ventilator-dependent newborns.
Banner Children's at Thunderbird provides a 17-bed pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) with specialized services for specific childhood diseases. Your child will receive direct patient care, and we will keep you and your family up to date on all conditions and care.
Our Pediatric Critical Care Board-certified pediatricians provide 24/7, in-house, comprehensive, family-centered care.
