At Banner Children’s at Desert we recognize that children are not small adults. They require specialized emergency care.
Because the Emergency room can be a scary place to kids, our providers and staff provide a warm and welcoming environment to help ease children’s anxiety.

In the Banner Children’s at Desert Emergency department, parents or guardians accompany their child through the treatment process.
If other family members or children accompanied you to the Emergency department, we ask that one parent, if possible, stay in the waiting area with them. Relatives and friends are asked to remain in the Pediatric Emergency department lobby area unless their presence is absolutely necessary for your child’s care.
Language and interpretive services are available. Please ask your nurse or Emergency department receptionist about these services.
