Our pulmonary services include diagnostic tests to evaluate how well the lungs are performing. These tests may be performed to help diagnose disease, to monitor disease progression or monitor therapeutic intervention over time. Arterial blood gas analysis (ABG) is one such test. It’s most often performed to evaluate respiratory diseases and other conditions that affect the lungs, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of oxygen therapy.
Banner Desert Medical Center also offers a nationally certified Pulmonary Rehabilitation program. We specialize in the individual medical, emotional and social needs of each patient with chronic lung conditions. Trained staff members will monitor your heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation and medical symptoms while you walk on a treadmill, ride a stationary bike and work on arm strengthening.
