TUCSON (April 16, 2024) – Banner – University Medicine Tucson has acquired the University Orthopedic Specialists practice. Located at 1555 E. River Road, the practice will now operate under the name Banner – University Medicine Orthopedic clinic and provide enhanced orthopedic care as a part of its academic mission.
The University Orthopedic Specialists physicians joining the new Banner - University Medicine Orthopedic clinic include Steven Gonsalves, MD, Jolene Hardy, MD, Michael Miller, MD and Jordan Smith, MD, as well as existing team members.
Patients and referring physicians will now have access to the only orthopedic team in Tucson whose doctors are also leading researchers and educators, offering thoughtful, advanced, evidence-based non-surgical and surgical orthopedic care in Southern Arizona. The Banner orthopedic team treats adults and children, as well as competitive athletes, including professional, college, and high school athletes and sports teams.
