PHOENIX (Nov. 28, 2023) – Banner Health has been named by Foundry’s Computerworld to its 2024 Best Places to Work in IT list as one of 100 large organizations that challenge their information-technology staffs while providing great benefits and compensation.
This is the fourth consecutive year that Banner has received this award. In addition to benefits and compensation, the list was compiled based off of diversity initiatives, training and retention. The list was reviewed by a panel of industry experts across many industries.
“We’ve remained committed to engaging our team members and spurring innovative ideas in order to deliver the most successful outcomes across our broad network,” said Deanna Wise, Banner Health senior vice president and chief information officer. “Receiving this prestigious award for the fourth consecutive year is a testament to the work we’ve done on that front, as well as to the great culture we continue to build here.”
“We are humbled for this continued recognition and are grateful to our nearly 1,400 talented IT team members who challenge each other and make this department such a wonderful place to work,” Wise added.
Banner IT supports 30 hospitals and over 52,000 team members across six states. To support the great number of stakeholders, IT is diligent in making its technology solutions easy, yet effective.
The IT team has members in 35 states, a reflection of the various communities in which Banner is present. In addition, 40% of the team has been with Banner Health for more than 10 years, a testament to the positive work culture cultivated.
“Technology is playing an increasingly important role in modern business. IT professionals continue to benefit from this trend, as this year’s winning organizations increase staffing and offer a variety of pathways to upskill, reskill, and diversify their teams.” said Rob O’Regan, global director, content strategy, Foundry. “These companies provide a model for IT and HR leaders who are looking for new ways to attract, engage, and retain talent in an increasingly competitive IT environment.”
Banner and other organizations now included on the Computerworld 2024 Best Places to Work in IT list.
