Banner Plans and Network Float Honors Veterans with "Stars in Our Hearts" Theme

PHOENIX (November 9, 2023) - Banner Plans and Network has announced its participation in this year's Veterans parade with the theme "Stars in Our Hearts". The float will pay tribute to all those who have served in the military, with a blue star representing veterans and a gold star honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Our Veteran Ambassador who will be recognized during the parade is Bryan Lechich, a U.S. Navy veteran and currently Senior Director for the Provider Data Management at Banner Health.

During his service from 1988 to 1992, Lechich served as a meteorologist and oceanographer in the Pacific theater, where he worked on various naval vessels and had the opportunity to visit over 10 different countries. He played a crucial role in Operation Desert Storm and was onboard the USS White Plains during a tragic fire incident. Lechich also served in the Philippines during the Mt. Pinatubo volcano eruption and participated in numerous training operations.

After his honorable discharge in 1992, Lechich utilized the GI Bill to pursue higher education completing both his bachelor's and MBA degrees, demonstrating his dedication to personal growth and development.

Lechich's commitment to service extends beyond his military career. He has volunteered to lead a team redesign at Banner Plans and Network, successfully transforming processes and improving efficiency. Despite the challenges and workload that accompanied the redesign, Lechich rallied the front-line staff and facilitated significant changes to enhance the overall workflow.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Lechich has been selected as Banner's Parade Ambassador this year riding on the float alongside his son Justin Lechich, an active-duty U.S. Navy service member, symbolizing the strength and pride of their military heritage.
