Banner Health earns Great Place to Work Certification

Team members report caring, respect and sense of purpose in the workplace

PHOENIX (Dec. 5, 2023) – Banner Health, one of the largest nonprofit health care systems in the country, is certified as a Great Place To Work®. The designation is a result of direct employee feedback and a rigorous, independent analysis. Great Place To Work Certification highlights Banner’s commitment to a workplace culture where team members trust the people they work for, take genuine pride in their work, enjoy collaborating with colleagues and experience a consistent workplace atmosphere.

The certification is the most definitive "employer-of-choice" recognition that companies aspire to achieve and is recognized worldwide by employees and employers alike as the global benchmark for identifying outstanding employee experience. Banner Health team members reported an overall 76% satisfaction rate compared to 57% of employees at a typical U.S. company.

“This recognition is a testament to every team member who shows up each day for our patients and for each other,” said Amy Perry, Banner Health president and chief executive officer. “This is no small feat in an organization of our size and geography and with such a diverse workforce. I am so honored to be part of Banner, to work alongside this incredible team, and serve the people and communities who count on us.”

“Great Place To Work certification lets the world know that Banner has a culture where team members feel a sense of inclusion and appreciation,” said Julie Ann Alvarado-Dubek, executive vice president and chief human resources officer for Banner. “We strive to improve team members' lives through personalized well-being and benefit programs, competitive rewards, and creative career development opportunities designed to provide an excellent workplace experience.”
