Cote named vice president of Banner Health ambulatory services

Will oversee Banner’s imaging, surgery centers, urgent care locations and other programs  

PHOENIX (Sept 20, 2022) – James Cote joined Banner Health on Monday, September 12 as vice president of ambulatory services.

Cote now oversees Banner Imaging, Banner Surgery Center, Banner Urgent Care, occupational health, rehabilitation, home health and hospice.

He has more than 30 years of experience in the field. Prior to his appointment, he was senior vice president of ambulatory services at BayCare Health System in Tampa, Florida.

Before joining BayCare, Cote spent seven years with Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle in positions such as senior vice president and clinic administrator and vice president of clinic operations, and in several leadership roles in more than 15 years at Children’s Hospital Boston.

Cote earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Saint Joseph’s College in North Windham, Maine; completed the Medical Technology Program at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine; and received his Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration and Marketing from the University of Massachusetts.
