PHOENIX (Oct. 16, 2024) - Banner Health is proud to announce the distinguished lineup of grand marshals for the 28th Phoenix Veterans Day Parade scheduled for Monday, Nov. 11.
Among the notable figures announced was celebrity Grand Marshal and Arizona Diamondback World Series hero Luis Gonzalez, who is best known for driving in the winning run for the baseball team’s only championship in 2001.
Banner Health played host to the announcement of the grand marshals at its corporate offices in Phoenix on Oct. 10. Banner Plans and Networks is helping sponsor the parade.
The selection process for the grand marshals was part of the esteemed "Honor Our Heroes" program, which received more than 50 submissions this year. The theme for the 28th edition of the parade is "Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans, sacrifice remembered," paying homage to the brave individuals who served during that era.
The Phoenix Veterans Day Parade is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11, running down streets in north-central Phoenix. The commemorative event serves as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our veterans and provides an opportunity for the community to come together in gratitude and support.
“Banner Plans and Networks is humble and proud to support our veterans at the annual Phoenix Veterans Day Parade,” said Chuck Lehn, president of Banner Plans and Networks. “There are more than 500,000 veterans in Arizona who have served our country and we appreciate the opportunity to serve them and their families.”
