Dr. Kindsfater, a native of Eaton, Colorado, attended Eaton High School and Colorado State University where he earned a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. He attended medical school and his Orthopedic Residency at the University of Colorado. He then completed his advanced training in joint replacement surgery with a fellowship at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard School of Medicine in Boston, MA, before returning to northern Colorado.
Rooted in the community, Dr. Kindsfater has been practicing medicine in northern Colorado for nearly 30 years. His expertise and compassionate care have earned him international recognition, attracting patients from across the United States and beyond.

He consults with major orthopedic companies for both product development and surgeon education. He has been involved in nearly 20 clinical research projects/clinical studies during his career. Dr. Kindsfater has been an invited faculty member at didactic orthopedic courses in the U.S. and abroad on over 60 occasions and has presented his research and lectured at international orthopedic meetings in Belgium, England, Spain, Italy, Japan, India, Malaysia, Dubai, Mexico and Australia.
