Dog Therapy

For people going through a tough medical situation, sometimes the unconditional love of a dog is just what the doctor ordered.

The dogs involved in our Dog Therapy programs, who we call dog therapists, have wonderful temperaments, are obedient, have the ability to learn and are well groomed. They readily accept strangers and sit still amidst distractions. Each dog goes through 6 to 12 months of extensive training and are certified by the state.

We currently have about 100 dogs in our Pet Therapy program. They come in all sizes and breeds from Golden Labradors to Chihuahuas.

Thanks to your generous donations, we’re able to support this unique program. A donation of $100 can buy 6 months' worth of dog treats or pay for photos of dogs and patients to be given to patients.
