Family planning services and supplies, when provided by physicians or practitioners are covered for members regardless of gender, who voluntarily choose to delay or prevent pregnancy. Family Planning Services and supplies include covered medical, surgical, pharmacological and laboratory benefits as well as the provision of accurate information and counseling to allow for members to make informed decisions about the specific family planning methods available.
