The PGY1 pharmacy residency at Banner – University Medical Center South (BUMCS) offers an array of acute care medical/surgical service lines, various clinical pharmacy programs, academic medicine, and the leadership to prepare individuals for differentiated roles within clinical pharmacy practice.
Residents are part of a larger network and attend the weekly Pharmacy Resident Scholars in Teaching and Learning (PRSTL) teaching certificate program at the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy along with residents from other hospitals in Tucson. Additionally, residents have the opportunity to do a specialty elective rotation at Banner – University Medical Center Tucson (BUMCT).
