A nationally recognized hospital for providing exceptional patient care, teaching future health care professionals and conducting groundbreaking research. Community Reinvestment funds will be used to further research on substance-exposed newborns in Arizona and develop a family-centered model of care for addressing the needs of the infants and their families.
Tucson Children’s Museum was founded in 1986 with the vision that play was an essential part of learning for children. Our mission is the provide fun, play-based, interactive, hands-on learning experiences for children and their families. Recognizing the stress and isolation associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, Tucson Children’s Museum developed the virtual Early Childhood Mindfulness Program to teach children and families important coping skills.
The Copa Health staff is dedicated to providing world-class educational, therapeutic, rehabilitative and social services to children and adults with developmental, physical and behavioral health challenges. Copa’s Virtual Clinic will provide much needed support and psychiatric follow-up to individuals after hospitalization.
El Rio’s Mission is to improve the health of the Tucson community through comprehensive, accessible, affordable, quality and compassionate care. Over 113,000 people in Tucson trust El Rio with their care. The Community Reinvestment funds will further El Rio’s reach by contributing to their Central Project, allowing for outreach and engagement services in Tucson’s Grant and Dodge neighborhood, along with the addition of a new facility in the area.
HOPE began over thirty years ago as a grass-roots movement of community members seeking recovery support from their peers. Today HOPE provides a variety of peer-driven specialty services and community programs to those who are living with mental illness or a substance use disorder. The Overcoming Barriers – Hope Special Assistance fund will provide individuals with the necessary resources to get back on their feet following incarceration.
Hushabye Nursery offers a safe and inclusive space where mothers, family members and babies – from conception through childhood – can receive integrative care and therapeutic support that offers each child the best possible life outcomes. With Community Reinvestment funding, Hushabye will further develop their 12-room inpatient facility for babies born with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome and intensive outpatient services for families.
Intermountain provides the highest quality, evidence-based health and human services to facilitate self-sufficiency for individuals in their own communities and cultural contexts. Intermountain strives to be a model for health and human service organizations. Through their Connect Care Program, Intermountain will enhance service delivery and telehealth service options for individuals living in rural Southern and Central Arizona.
JFCS touches the lives of thousands of children, teens and adults coping with trauma, family violence, mental illness, substance abuse, as well as other serious behavioral, physical and social obstacles. We offer a safe space to be attentive, compassionate and provide confidential care. JFCS responded to the COVID-19 pandemic with the implementation of an extensive Telehealth services program and will expand their reach through the use of Community Reinvestment funding.
For more than 45 years, La Frontera Arizona has been committed to working collaboratively with our public and private partners to solve community problems. La Frontera Arizona has the expertise to address issues related to behavioral health, affordable housing, children and youth, employment, crisis intervention/suicide prevention, military veterans, and community and cultural education. With Community Reinvestment funds, La Frontera Arizona will facilitate a number of Mental Health First Aid trainings for the community, helping to increase knowledge and awareness around mental health issues.
Since being formed in 1999, the purpose of Southwest Network has been to create partnerships, inspire hope, and change lives. Southwest Network programs and services are tailored to the individual strengths, needs, culture and language to help people to live their best lives. Recognizing the unique needs of individuals who have been the victim of human trafficking, Southwest Network will recruit and train staff to meet the needs of those individuals through mentoring and support services.
Terros Health is a health care company focused on the whole person, providing primary care and specializing in mental health and substance use treatment for over 50 years. Terros Health’s Bridging the Gap program will utilize Community Reinvestment funding to provide rapid follow-up services to any individual experiencing a mental health crisis, working to support individuals and prevent future crisis situations.
Valle del Sol inspires positive change by investing in health and human services to strengthen families with tools and skills for self-sufficiency and by building the next generation of Latino and diverse leaders. Valle del Sol’s Crisis Transition Navigators will provide assistance to those re-entering the community following incarceration. Support includes obtaining important government documents like identification, accessing healthcare and finding a place to live and gainful employment.
