The Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Clinic takes an advanced approach in treating those with breast cancer by leveraging integrated expert care across several medical specialties using some of the latest technologies, treatments and research.
At the Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Clinic, your case is reviewed by a team of breast cancer specialists ahead of your initial appointment who will create a treatment plan specific to you and your diagnosis. Each member of the team is in constant communication, providing you with more cohesive care throughout your cancer journey.
On the day of your first appointment, you will meet with several members of your team in separate appointments throughout the day to discuss your treatment plan. During the course of your treatment, you can get all your imaging, biopsies, pathology, labs and treatment done in one location.
The Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Clinic team performs breast reconstructions, surgeries to remove cancerous cells, chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, breast reconstruction and hormone therapies. Our physicians are disease-specific, so they have additional breast cancer experience and knowledge.
The clinic’s multidisciplinary team is headed by breast surgeons, breast reconstruction plastic surgeons, breast radiologists, breast medical oncologists and breast radiation oncologists. The team also includes nurse practitioners, physician assistants, genetic counselors, pharmacists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, lymphedema therapists, psychologists, integrative oncologists and social workers as well as other supportive health care specialists. This team works collaboratively to ensure you receive comprehensive treatment specific to your individual needs. With so many sets of eyes on your case, you benefit from different perspectives and more ideas on how to treat your cancer.
