Wellness Physicals

Pre-employment and periodic physical exams help ensure employees are physically and medically prepared to perform essential job duties safely and efficiently. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) may require pre-employment physicals and ongoing medical evaluations for roles with exposure to potential hazards or substances. 

Banner Occupational Health provides employment physical services that meet OSHA standards including:

• Pre-employment examination: Assessment of medical history and physical evaluation relevant to specific job duties.
• Periodic physical examinations: Required for certain industrial roles, with exams every three years until age 50, every two years until age 65, and annually thereafter.
• Interim medical evaluations: Scheduled as needed between regular exams.
• Additional testing: OSHA may require tests based on the job type, such as: 
  • Audiograms for noise-exposed environments 
  • Chest X-rays for health care or manufacturing jobs 
  • EKG/stress test for physically demanding jobs
  • Respiratory questionnaire to identify signs of asthma or lung disease 
  • Functional capacity evaluation for physically sensitive roles
• Industry-specific exams and testing:
  • DOT medical exams (Department of Transportation) 
  • Firefighter and police officer physicals 
  • Fit-for-duty exams
  • Pulmonary function tests (PFT)/spirometry testing
  • Respiratory fit testing

Mobile health clinic

Our 40-ft. mobile health unit enables convenient, on-site exams, saving employees time by bringing health services to your workplace. The mobile clinic includes two audio booths, an exam room, restroom, respirator testing equipment, pulmonary function equipment and vision testing equipment.
