David Hogarth, DPT, PT, is the Performance Physical Therapist at the Banner Sports Medicine High Performance Center. Dr. Hogarth is responsible for assisting with the integration of Banner Physical Therapy services and the High Performance Center programming. In this role, Dave collaborates with the High Performance Center team to ensure continuity of care for athletes who are transitioning from physical therapy to performance and return to play activities.
Dr. Hogarth brings expertise in blending physical therapy and performance for the benefit of the elite performer. His professional health and performance experience ranges from the clinical setting to professional sports settings. This wide range of experience allows him to understand the daily demands of people of all ages and athletic abilities. He currently specializes in outpatient orthopedics/sports medicine.
Most recently, Dr. Hogarth served as senior director of clinical services, education and research at Fusionetics, a human performance technology start-up. Before this, he directed a clinic at IMG Academies in Florida, where he worked with elite athletes in multiple sports and traveled on both the men’s and women’s professional tennis tours. Dr. Hogarth has also been a physical therapist for the Los Angeles Angels baseball club and directed multiple outpatient clinics.
Dr. Hogarth earned a degree in medical rehabilitation from the University of Manitoba and a doctorate in physical therapy from A.T. Still University in Missouri. He earned qualifications as a corrective exercise specialist and performance enhancement specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. In addition, he has certifications in dynamic neuromuscular stabilization, spinal manipulation, dry needling and the Graston technique.
