Our Cultural Commitment

Banner – University Family Care/ALTCS (B – UFC/ALTCS) values the many people who live in the areas we serve. We understand that there are many different lifestyles and ethnic backgrounds. B – UFC/ALTCS knows that your health is affected by your beliefs, culture, and values.

We want to help you keep and maintain good health and good relationships with providers who understand your needs. If you feel that there is a problem, please contact us. We will help you find a provider who will better understand your personal needs.

B – UFC/ALTCS offers language interpretive services for members at no cost. If you cannot speak to your provider because of a language barrier, please contact our Customer Care Center. We can schedule a telephonic interpreter to help with your appointment. If you need this or any of our other printed materials in another language, please call us.

If you need material in a different format, perhaps in a larger print, we can help too. Let us know if you need help with auxiliary aids and services. Auxiliary aids and services are devices or services that allow effective communication. Aids and services can include screen readers, audio recordings, materials in Braille or larger print.

Call us and let us know if we have overlooked anything that is important to you. We will try to help, including setting up appointments with Sign Language services. We want you to be comfortable with the people and services that make up B – UFC/ALTCS.

Interpretive Services

B – UFC/ALTCS offers language interpretive services at no cost to members. If you can’t speak to your provider because of a language barrier, please call our Customer Care Center. We can plan for a telephone interpreter to help you during your appointment.

Printed materials in alternative formats can be sent to you at no cost. If you need any of our documents in another language, please call our Customer Care Center.
