At the Digestive Institute at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix, you will find a hub of highly coordinated, specialized care for virtually all conditions affecting the digestive system. These include gastrointestinal issues of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon and rectum, pancreas, gallbladder, bile ducts and liver. There are two specialized digestive centers and a general GI clinic under the Digestive Institute at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix. Future centers of excellence will provide specialized care in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), functional bowel disorders and small bowel disorders. Our Interventional Endoscopy Services include highly trained physicians, nurses and technicians provide complex endoscopic interventions for patients in need of advanced procedures including but not limited to complex pancreatobiliary interventions, endoscopic ultrasound, radiofrequency ablation, and diagnosis of small bowel bleeds. The Swallowing and Reflux Center offers care for disorders of the throat, esophagus and stomach. The Pancreaticobiliary Center of Excellence treats many conditions of the pancreas and biliary tract. Our General GI Clinic sees patients with a variety of gastrointestinal problems.
